Located
in the heart of the Kentucky Bluegrass region, on approximately one hundred (100) acres of heavily grassed land. We are proud of the safety and convenience of our facilities. Our paddocks are three- and four-board plank fence, the safest and most easily accessible
fencing for Thoroughbred horses, and we have paddocks of various sizes for mares and foals, single mares, weanlings, yearlings
and lay-ups.
All
of our paddocks have automatic waterers, offering fresh, clean, cool drinking water to our horses twenty-four hours a day.
Many
of our paddocks also boast large, sturdy loafing sheds, to give our horses shelter from both winter and summer weather.
Our paddocks surround two barns with ten
stalls each. The barns are safe and well-ventilated, and the farm layout makes
moving horses in and out of the barns easy for even the most fractious Thoroughbreds.
Our
location, in Cynthiana, Kentucky,
gives us access to all of the important stud farms in the Bluegrass area yet insures bucolic quiet
slightly out of the mainstream hubbub of the Lexington area.
At
Thunder Run, the relaxation of country life insures the happiness of all the inhabitants, and mares and foals maintain a sense
of happy security, free from traffic noise, the endless air traffic of Lexington, and virtually all other stressors.
We
feed only McCauley’s Feed (manufactured fresh, daily, here in the Bluegrass) and locally grown Alfalfa
